It’s a rather simple concept which describes homophonic as a single solo instrument playing the main melody accompanied by an instrument or several instruments playing harmony and rhythm or a lead singer accompanied by chords played on guitar or piano or even by an orchestra or band. Almost all children’s songs, pop and country music songs are homophonic. Why is “Folsom Prison Blues”, homophonic? A short answer will suffice.
