Essay Topic that is attached in document:
“Choose two major myths or episodes in Classical mythology (i.e. a major
Homeric hymn or set of hymns, a substantial account or summary such as Hesiod or Apollodorus, or major episodes in one of the Homeric epics). Compare and contrast the figures and events described in the two myths or episodes, and demonstrate how they contain important insight or wisdom for an ancient and/or modern audience.”
I need an 800 word draft for this paper and a finished/(final) draft that is 1200 words long as well. Also paper Cannot include any Website Sources. Paper needs to include scholarly sources but preferably academic journals or academic Periodical, more instructions are attached in documents. If you have any questions feel free to let me know. The two major myths I want to be discussed in this paper are
– First Major myth: Prometheus and the Seer who Brought Fire. I want the paper to include how Prometheus was punished and him deifying Zeus’s orders.
– Second Major Myth: The Odyssey
Extra Major Myth’s to possibly look into if cannot find my first two choices. -Pandora’s Jar and/or Demeter and Persephone.
